Exploring New Dimensions: My Take on After Effects 3D
✨ Exploring New Dimensions: My Take on After Effects 3D
Creative knowledge for modern visual professionals
Adobe After Effects has taken a significant leap toward integrating 3D tools, making it easier for designers and animators to create more dynamic and realistic compositions.
🛠️ Embedded 3D Animation Integration
It is now possible to import 3D models with embedded animations in GLB or GLTF formats directly into After Effects. This has allowed me to work without intermediaries, greatly simplifying and accelerating my workflow.
🌍 Realistic Shadows and Depth Maps
Shadow catchers and colored shadows add realistic depth to any scene. Combined with depth maps, you can now apply fog and depth-of-field effects that once required more complex processes.
🎨 New Animation Presets
With over 30 new presets, creating complex animations is easier than ever. I’ve already used them for infographics and motion graphics with excellent results and zero hassle.
🔦 Improved Properties Panel
The panel now includes controls for lights and cameras, simplifying adjustments and setup. Personally, it made scene design with depth and motion far more fluid and intuitive.
⚖️ Performance and Interface
User experience has improved thanks to a cleaner interface and optimized performance, especially on Windows. It’s now easier and more enjoyable to work on long sessions without interruptions.
🎨 Integration with Adobe Substance 3D
Sending models from Substance Painter to After Effects has never been easier. This opens a new gateway for realistic texturing directly within the motion design environment.
These After Effects updates not only expand its capabilities as a professional tool, but also reinforce it as a stronger standard for those of us working in advanced visual design.
